Mr Robert Stuart
I qualified from University College Dublin in 1982 and then trained in Ireland, Hong Kong and the UK, specialising in upper gastrointestinal surgery - obesity surgery, endoscopy, anti-reflux and gallbladder surgery, Barrett’s oesophagus and upper GI cancer. I undertake a lot of research and have published over 70 papers. In my surgery practice I offer gastric banding, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy, all performed laparoscopically. Within the context of a multidisciplinary team, patient's needs are discussed and the approach individually tailored. Patients are seen, before and after surgery by the dietician and nurse specialist and have the opportunity to meet and talk to other patients.
